Trailcam Nabs Florida Man Sabotaging Deer Feeder

From the NW Florida Daily News:
A man was charged with harassing a hunter and trespassing after photos showed him spraying†his neighbor's deer feeder with animal repellant. . . .

An officer talked with the neighbor, who confessed to using the spray bottle.

crappy guy! what the heck? Some people just don't get it!

Those two deserve each other. A sad sack who has to hunt over bait and another who invents law and makes himself the enforcer.

Unfortunately baiting and hunting is a very subjective issue that most likely will not be solved in our lifetime.
If the neighbor doesn't hunt, and it's not illegal (the feeder), and the feeder doesn't affect him (other than his anthropomorphic concerns) it's really none of his business.
As Mike alluded to above, we're seeing more and more people move to rural areas and many of them act like armchair police auxiliary.

Mike, what is your problem with FREE CHOICE OF EVERYTHING???

If it's legal where he hunts, then shut your pie hole & stop bashing the guy & thank him for hunting & congratulate the guy on busting an anti hunter...

UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!!

Srapie -- I have no problem with "free choice." Did you hear me say that hunting over bait should be banned? No. I just said that it's a sad sack that does it. In my view it's not "hunting" at all. But like high fence, tiny chicken boxes, and your persistence at demonstrating your general lack of comprehension, I think people should be allowed to do as they will.

Mike,
Who said he was hunting over the food? He could just be using it to see what kind of quality his land is producing. I know that I use my trail cameras to see more of the animals that i have on my land and use food to keep them around my house...

Cody

I say if its legall where you hunt to have a bait pile out all the power to you. I have one just to see what kind of animals we have on our property.

I'm in school right now

If it's legal, yes you should have bait out IF ITS LEGAL. let me tell you that IT SHOULDN'T BE.

Nate

I hunt my deer when they travel a creek-bottom at dusk and dawn. I also have a feeder set up right at the edge of the feild to see who's out there. My feeder was cut down a couple of days ago. I think there is an active Fl chapter of Let not the Deer be Fat behind this!

"I have one [bait pile] just so I can see what kinds of animals I have on my property". What a steaming pile of b.s. I don't care if you hunt over a bait pile {I wouldn't] but at least man up and admit it. Otherwise the rest of us use our eyes and legs to see what kinds of animals we have on our property. Or you could just buy a trailcam.

JohnR

I rest my case!

Will

What a jerk! I would have turned him in after I had beat the S**t out of him.

just to see what peoples feelings are:

If your opposed to hunting over bait how do you feel about running dogs?

(i dont do either just curious to see peoples thoughts)

Jim in Mo

Some places the covers so thick you must use bait. Same holds true for bear hunting.
