Update: Python Golf Balls Start At $200 On eBay

Last week, we posted a link reporting that doctors had surgically removed four golf balls from a python’s stomach. Now, predictably enough, the golf balls are being auctioned on eBay, with proceeds going to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's community wildlife hospital.

The winning bidder gets the balls, plus veterinary photographs and original X-rays of the snake before and after surgery.

Bidding starts at $200.

I really like snakes but whoever buys one of these golfballs, here's your sign!! You gotta be kidding!!

I know Greg - I love snakes, but this is as dumb as surgically saving one wild, egg-stealing python in the first place!

Hey Tommy, you know some dumbass will buy them. I would be real curious what moron would do so. I usually dont name call but this is too easy!!

Its certainly not the dumbest thing that's ever been on ebay. Plus, the money is going to charity. My local Wildlife Unlimited funds a wildlife recovery center, where injured wildlife are treated by a veterinarian. Sometimes we get things like Bald Eagles hit by cars, Owls, Ospreys, etc. I can think of some areas where that money could be better spent, but I can think of thousands of places where money is wasted on other programs.

Yeah, you are right there about the charity thing Yooper, I was just ramblin'.

GREG

My apologies too. Didnt read the article. The post just caught me off guard. Removing foot from mouth!

YooperJack

I still don't like snakes!

GREG

Thats ok Yooper we still love ya!!LOL

I've got some ocean front property in Arizona and Montana!
Glad the money (if it really does) will go to help the wildlife! I don't suppose it's any worse than some of the other stuff people spend good money on! Some folks pay for cockle burrs labeled as "porcupine eggs"! Packaging pays off I suppose!

How bout the canned sunshine they sell in every tourist trap on the gulf! People can be so gullible?
