Is This Thing A Sasquatch?

From Yahoo News:

... about the only thing certain about the critter photographed by a hunter's camera is that some people have gotten the notion it could be a Sasquatch, or bigfoot. Others say it's just a bear with a bad skin infection.

Capt76f68acf986b804a0396fc80d63e75Rick Jacobs says he got the pictures from a camera with an automatic trigger that he fastened to a tree in the Allegheny National Forest, about 115 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, hoping to photograph deer.

What do you think? (You can click the photo to enlarge it).

No, it is a malnourished male, black bear. You see them all the time in Jacksonville, NC.

For some reason every time I see a female bear in the woods down there,(jacksonville), it is fat and short. When I see a male, he is tall and skinny. WTF?

Blue Ox

Most likely a bear. People today are so gullible. I could take off my shoes and walk thru the park and be guaranteed somebody will be screaming Sasquatch the next day.

It is bigfoot damnit!!! Ihave also got an alien, or is it my girlfriend?, in my bathroom anyway that is bigfoot!

Yettie. Fo real.

Harry henderson

Hey, we deserve our place on the planet! just accept us for who we are!!

It sure looks like a big foot. It's legs are too long to be a bear.

gary waldrop

that does not look like a bear resembles a chimpansy look close at the head and neck even the butt mabe a lonely hunter screwed a bear who knows someone needs to blow this pic up and look closer

You goofballs Its a freakin skinny bear and nothing else!!!

I think its this guys buddy messin with him

Anthony B.

I don't think it is bigfoot. It's too darn skinny and long legged to be a bear. Nice costume....Happy Halloween!

One of two possibilities:

Malnourished bear.

Halloween prank.

Somebody should ask the hunter about his camera. It seems to me the average camera usually only gets partial shots (slow reaction time between detector and aperture activation). Must be a darn good camera to have caught this creature dead center in the frame.

Chris H.

Hey Blue Ox, that might be a sign you need to shave your back!!

Jim Dicken

Could also be a Chimp some jerk let go cause he could not take care of it. Lots of that going around. Pythons in the Everglades, Piranha's in Canals, Snakefish in the Potomac..
People who buy exotic animals should have to be permitted.

If you see any of the other two pictures (there were three) you get to see two cub bears that are extremely clear. Unless bigfoot adopted bear cubs, I think it's a bear.

Bill Martin

I'm not sure what it is but I don't think it is a bear. The limbs seem too long to be a bear. It looks more like a chimpanzee except that it is too big to be a chimp. Perhaps there is such a thing as a Big Foot but I have yet to see any conclusive evidence. I'd sure like to know one way or another.

looks alot like big foot

jun bout

john boy

probally big foot, seen one when i was eight me and the kid next door took his dads golf cart deep into the woods here in central florida, got stuck in sugar sand, couldn't get the cart loose, had to walk a while back to the house, that thing chased us all the way to the house, man went missin out there to, everyone figured it was big foot, also seen it bathin in the withlacooche river one time

Kerry M.

I did blow it up and looked very closely. its not a bear, the leggs are too long, and the fronts look more like an ape, and the neck and head look like a ape or some thing. the feet are too short for a bear. I think I know her?? Baby. Honey... she's not easy. LOL. It is something to look at. and many good camera's do take fast pic's.

ND Man

That thing isn't a bear, nor a bigfoot. IT'S A WEREWOLF!!!!!
No, just kidding but the hair is strangly long and thin, not like a bear's thick and short coat of fur.

Looks somewhat like a very skinny bear to me, but then again I've only seen them in zoos. How long is it gonna be before someone actually shoots, either with a good camera or otherwise, one of the things they are calling bigfoot? Personally, I'd have to shoot first if it was exhibiting threating behavior and then go see what it was. If it wasn't threatening (ie. just passing through) I'd wish it a fairwell with a couple rounds behind it hoping to scare it off. I think that the only true proof some people will accept will be a dead one.
