NSSF vs. Bloomberg Update: Gun group wants equal time in Boston Globe

And now, in the latest round of sparring between the National Shooting Sports Foundation and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, the firearms industry group is taking a swing not directly at the politician but at an entity it believes to be in his corner, the Boston Globe. Since the newspaper ran a 1,550-word editorial hailing Bloomberg’s lawsuits against various gun dealers, the NSSF wants “equal time” to respond to the "diatribe" that was "chockfull of misrepresentations and inaccuracies." In a letter written to the paper’s editorial pages editor, the NSSF continued, “The fact that the Boston Globe...twice dismissed our industry's reasonable request for equal time is as outrageous as it is telling." click here for story
