Mysterious Deer Disease: Virginia whitetails show signs of severe illness

Virginia wildlife authorities, who have been vigilant in preventing Chronic Wasting Disease from entering the state, say a mysterious illness causing diarrhea and emaciation among some deer in western Loudoun and northern Fauquier Counties is not a cause for panic. But with the spread of deer diseases so frequently in the news these days, it is clearly a cause for concern.
