Quote of the Day
“Every man should have at least one gun the government doesn’t know about.”—The late C.A., a genius gunsmith, machinist, and high-power rifle shooter, who did work for the government. Even though he is gone, I think he would still prefer anonymity.
I think every man and woman needs to have several guns that the government DOES know about, as well as several that are not immediately traceable back to the owner (legal of course). The dark elements of the government that would trample our right to keep and bear arms needs to know that there are lots of guns and gun owners that won't go down without a fight. I don't and will never depend upon the government to protect my family and my property.
Recently, we had intruders on our property at 3:00 a.m. Tell me what fine upstanding citizens are out prowling at that hour? Luckily, they made a hasty retreat when they realized the two retrievers barking from inside the house sounded pretty mean and would have surely awakened the occupants. They were only seconds away from a couple loads of #4 buckshot when they decided to speed off in their car. They had been gone 22 minutes when the Sheriff's deputy arrived.
So, don't try to convince me that we don't need to assume responsibility for our own protection. Just like we can't depend on NATO or the UN to protect our interests.

"Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected is the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be carefully used and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced.
But the right of the citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government and one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible"
Words of wisdom attributed to the late U.S. Senator Hubert Humphrey

As I've said before, the 2nd. Adm. was put there to protect you and me from the Government...Protecting you from your fellow man is just a fringe benefit from this action., Keep up the good work...

If I got my pants on, I have a firearm in a pocket. In the house, many at arms reach. Never leave home without protection, you never know when a handgun will save your life.
