Quote of the Day
“Don’t step in the leopard s**t, bwana, it’s terrible stuff.”—Abie Du Plooy, PH, in Zambia, 1987. I was shooting an antelope a day to provision a leopard tree for the next safari, and the cat was pooping up a storm. The next safari never did get the leopard, but ever since, wherever I am, I’ve tried to avoid stepping in leopard s**t.
That's why I come here: words to live by.

Okay Rasputin, you can go back to the .270 quotes if this is the alternative...

Good Advice. My motto is look out for number one, but while your looking out for number one, be careful you don't step in number two (quote from Rodney Dangerfield).

Too bad poor Jim Zumbo didn't get that advice.

I think Zumbo stepped in his own s**t. I've hunted with a friend who used an SKS because he was poor and a $69.99 gun was all he could afford. I've used an M1 carbine myself. I guess I'm a terrorist!

No one who was hit by a 7.62x39 ever complained that it was an inferior cartridge.
