Quote of the Day
“The police are the ones coming to get the guns. I know they don’t like the job much either, but since there are so many funny laws now I guess they just have to go ahead and do what they have to do.
“I must let you in on a secret unlawful thing I did. I took the guns I liked best and buried them down in the field behind the barn…I just couldn’t stand the thought of having them melted down or thrown in the ocean. I saved a few to turn in, and I hope that does the trick. It seems that you can get away with a lot of pretty bad crimes, but if they catch an honest man with a gun he hid away, out of sentiment, it goes pretty hard with him.”—Gene Hill, The Day They Took My Guns
I hope to never see that day.

Best bring a few who are prepared to sacrifice for what they believe in.

Ok folks, put on your thinking caps on for this one!
Remember back about 1985-86, that Rodney King riot? I find it funny that know one picked up on this. A California State Representative came on line and OFFICIALY SAID!
“The Government (State of California) is “NOT” responsible for your personal safety!
Man, I love this topic!
Every person that will drop to their knees for the Democratic Party, I even called good old Rush Limbaugh show and ask them this question.
Who is responsible for your personal protection?
There answer,
The police
The Rush Limbaugh show, got some stupid 4-letter word phrase remark from the screen caller and have them slam the phone down
WRONG ANSWER!
When you call 911
The response of the Officer is basically based on several things and limited to
If somebody threatens you, if there hasn’t been a law broken, they may not respond at all
If they do respond, this is based on location and the availability of the Officer responding.
You can be in the process of being raped and the Officer “MAY,” respond after they finish issuing a parking ticket.
The bottom line is this!
Key word here, listen close
“The Government, Your Government is “NOT” responsible for your personal safety!”
I don’t understand why people like those in New York and Washington D.C file a class action lawsuit based not only on the Second Amendment, but also on
“The Government is “NOT” responsible for your personal safety!”
Look at Australia. It’s against the law to be armed and if an attacker attacks you with a knife or gun and you defend yourself with a lolly pop. You go to jail.
Australians and Great Britain? Good God, you would think they had more backbone than this!
Great Britain, 40 percent of their robberies at home the robbers are armed and the folks are at home!

Don't worry Clay, we know you're the one with the misspellings, random capitalization's and new paragraphs every other sentence...

“…..Health or possessions: which has more worth?
Profit or loss: which is more troublesome?
Great love incurs great expense,
And great wealth incurs great fear….”
--- Lao Tse--
I freely admit I love my guns and the Hunt. I fully admit I have a great fear of loosing either. I know it’s not good to be held hostage by anything, but I can’t help myself in this area. If Gene Hill held the same fears and sentiments, at least I know I’m in good company.

What difference does it make if "they" are the police, Bolivian UN troops, ATF hired goons, or Hillary's storm troopers ?
The fiasco in New Orleans is a perfect example.
Remember the study that showed that 27 % of enlisted Marines would follow orders to shoot their fellow Americans refusing orders to surrender their firearms on demand ?
We have MUCH to worry about !
After 8 years of Hillary, and 8 more of Hussein Obamma, there won't likely be a Second Amendment.

I always try to tell people that we are all responsible for our own safety. It is physically impossible for the police to protect all of us. Calling 911 is like playing the lottery. I wish more Americans would "cowboy up" I would think it would be our Responsibility! to protect ourselves and our Duty to protect the defenseless!

Wait a minute fellas, let's not forget that law enforcement are scraping by on the pitiful amount of what the raving idiot politicians call a pay check, and follow orders to keep from going bankrupt and homeless. And most (in the South anyway) are hunters and shooters too. Who is responsible for your safety, YOU. The same one who is responsible in the event that you decide to rob a bank, you, not your mother, father, grandmother's second cousin-once removed...
You are also the one who is responsible for the protection of your rights, including the Second Amendment right, so vote, and vote right, if you are not already, become a member of the NRA.
I'll not bury my guns, I will fight with them to the death, you want my guns, you will have to take the ammunition first.
Clay Cooper, whichever one said it,
"... Australians and Great Britain? Good God, you would think they had more backbone than this!"
Remember, the lackadaisical attitude of the people about guns is why the governments of these countries found it so easy to take their firearms away. That is why the U.S. has the NRA, or rather that is why the NRA is in the U.S., because we, the stubborn Americans (silent masses), will not have our firearms taken away. If Osama or Hitlery makes the Oval Office, (which is unlikely), we will just need to unite and "Cowboy up" (I like that one), so as to keep them from using the Constitution of the United States of America as toilet paper. We must never forget that the Second Amendment is why all of the other amendments are safe, not the other way around.

Winston Churchill would be horrified to see what England has become. A nation were a man is thrown in prison for defending himself. A nation were political correctness allows foreigners to set up terrorist cells with ease. A nation dependent on socialism and unarmed police. All of Europe is like this. Canada and Australia are following in Europe's footsteps. The USA is the last free nation on Earth.

simple advice to pass on to everyone. "once the politicians take away ANY of the ten amendments that make up the bill of rights, they have set a precendent to take away all of them." Be very afraid of any politician who wants to take away any of the "bill of rights"

Things would have to be in very bad shape for Americans to give up their second right amendment
If it comes time for that, all hope would have been long gone.
I say to them,"come and get it if you got the nerve and I'll treat you like the terrorist you've become."

My Dad put it in an interesting way here a week or so ago when we were talking about it. He said, "When the politicians take all of our guns, they are free to do whatever they want without worrying about an uprising." That's unnerving.

Most politicians are lawyers who believe in a Machiavellians principle if you have no enemy make one. In this case it's gun owners. Basically pick a fight, with a group you believe to small to hurt you at the ballet box. Most now realize the voting populace has not fallen for there disingenuous BS.

I've got a question for you all.
The Bill of Rights is part of the Constitution isn't it?
The same Constitution that public servants (like the President) swear to uphold as part of their Oath of Office, is it not?
Why then when one of these people who have taken this oath break it by trying to limit or abolish part (any part, 2nd amendment or others) of said constitution do they not get kicked out of office for breaking their Oath?
Could the NRA/ILA file a Civil Suit on these grounds? Or other type of Claim or Suit? If people can sue the Gun Companies for doing business why can't we sue the Govt. for not upholding their Oaths of Office?
