Czech Wins European Deer Calling Title
I know this is a whitetail blog, but the European red deer calling championships doesn’t happen every day.
From The Prague Post:
Michal Franče, a 20-year-old forestry student, beat opponents from Poland, Slovakia and Hungary to claim the first place for the Czech Republic.
“I am ecstatic. The competition here was very tough and this is my first big success in competitive deer calling,” he said after his win.

Hello,
This is my first comment, I grew up reading Field and Stream, while hunting and fishing in the mountains of NC. I am now living in the UK, and you know the phrase, you learn something everyday, I have. We don't have whitetail in UK, but it is pretty incredible when a guide "roars"in an massive Red stag, running towards you through the woods, you can't see the deer, you just know its BIG! They do squeek up Roe (during the rut) and Muntjac at almost anytime of the year. So thanks for blogging the Deer calling Championships...and if want to try roaring in one of those Red stags...email me at Bryan@Sportingagent.com
You will not be disappointed!

I absolutely loved this story. And 15,000 people watching a deer-calling contest? Unbelievable!
