Return of Hogzilla: Georgia Man Bags 1,100-Pound Pig
There were rumors of a giant feral pig—a Hogzilla prowling unseen and tearing up peoples yards in the Fayette County neighborhood. Avid hunter William Coursey brushed it off as a myth—until he saw the gargantuan swine in a neighbor’s yard and shot the 1,100-pound, 9-foot long beast. The Georgia DNR is still trying to determine if it is a state record. Check out the story and slideshow here.

Don't get me wrong I love hunting, but these people killing a domestic hog that got out is not a hunting story. I grew up on a farm in Alabama and we raised hogs, they don't get that big in the woods without feed. I normally don't get on here to rant but this gets on my nerves. If I kill a 2000 pound bull that got out of a guys pasture It is not a hunting story. Just because it is in the woods does not make it wild Take it for what it is worth.

Sure hope the feral hog epidemic doesn't spread to my neck of the woods. I have no interest in having hogs running around these woods. They are invasive destructive animals that are entirely too smart for their own good...

Did anybody see what caliber rifle that hog was shot with? I couldn't find anything, but I wonder what it would take to bring it down.
